Dutch School of Guitarmaking
One has to learn the craft of luthier somewhere. And lucky enough for me, the Dutch School of Guitarmaking isn’t too far from where I live. I started attending the courses in 2017. Under great guidance of master luthier Frank de Haan and Floris Doedens, I have learned to build the designs I have made.
If you want to build your own guitar, don’t hesitate to visit this page because you can find several courses that will suit your needs. And if you are not from the Netherlands. There is even a very nice appartment above the workshop for you to stay.
Masave Woodshop
You can have all the ideas you want. But a guitar will not be great if you don’t use great timber. Masave is the go-to shop for me. They have a very broad selection of tonewoods immediately available. And they will go to any length to get you the woods you desire
Stoney Creek Guitars
A great luthier will make you a great guitar. Master luthier Frank de Haan (the one of the Dutch School of Guitarmaking) of course has his own brand and line of guitars. I can especially recommend his new line of environmental friendly guitars. For which he uses a specially formulated finish.
